The upcoming project will include the removal of the original 1930s building, which will be replaced with new construction including the Humanities Wing with classrooms built for language arts, foreign languages, and social studies. These classrooms will be situated above the new commons and cafeteria area, and alongside a modern library and learning center. In the existing portion of the school, classrooms will be remodeled to become a STEAM Wing which will be dedicated to science, technology, engineering (including agriculture and business), art and mathematics. A new main entrance will also be built on the north side, which will lead into the commons area and cafeteria. Adjacent to the entrance will be the new competition gym, which will include a walking track, new locker rooms, new weight room, and a state-of-the-art wrestling room with two full-size mats. The new facility will incorporate high-efficiency HVAC systems and modern building materials to ensure long-term energy savings. The school will retain and continue to use the newest sections of the existing high school facilities, including the auditorium, music room, current gym and locker rooms, elevator, wrestling room, classrooms located under the current gym, and district office. This project is part of the school district’s bond that passed. As of March 3, 2026, information regarding construction manager and general contractor selection has not been released. Further details regarding firm construction and completion timelines have not been disclosed. $13 million being paid for via the approved bond levy and the remaining amount to be funded rough sales tax (SAVE), voted Physical Plant and Equipment Levy (PPEL) funds, and over $2 million in cash reserves.
