Region: 3 Counties: Delta Work Days: 70 Us50 Delta Resurface Mp 68.5- Mp 77 This project is located in Region 3 in Delta County. Project work consists of US 50 resurfacing from MP 68.5 - 77. Guaranty: 5% of Total Bid Contract UDBE Goal: 0.00 % CODOT: 002 - Region 3 - US 50 Resurfacing *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. This work consists of providing Public Information Management for the duration of the project. The Contractor shall submit all documentation associated with the Public Information Management item to the Project Engineer. Before approval, the Engineer will coordinate review and approval with the Region Communications Manager (RCM). This project takes place on Highway 50 between MP 68.5 and MP 76.85 in Delta County. The project work will include resurfacing, guardrail replacement, and pavement markings. Anticipated communications issues on this project include: o Consistent and timely communication is required with local governments (cities and counties) and stakeholders potentially impacted by the project. o Consistent and timely communication will also be necessary with representatives of known utilities within the project limits, homeowner associations, tourism groups, municipal government entities, and other major organizations or businesses within project limits. o The keys to a successful project shall be accuracy, timeliness of communications, and full transparency on any setbacks. o A celebration may be requested by CDOT HQ to highlight the importance of this project. This work consists of furnishing, installing, certifying, moving, repairing, maintaining, and removing temporary impact attenuators in accordance with these specifications and in conformity with the lines and details shown on the plans or established. This work consists of salvaging topsoil from onsite locations, stockpiling, maintaining, and preparing the subsoils for the placement of the topsoil at locations shown on the plans. It also includes creating seeding media by amending subsoils, and importing offsite topsoil when shown on the plans. This work consists of constructing, installing, maintaining, and removing when required, control measures during the life of the Contract to prevent or minimize erosion, sedimentation, and pollution of any State waters as defined Section 101. Stormwater runoff from all disturbed areas and soil storage areas for which permanent or interim stabilization is not implemented, must flow to at least one control measure to minimize sediment in the discharge. This shall be accomplished through filtering, settling, or straining. The control measure shall be selected, designed, installed, and adequately sized in accordance with good engineering, hydrologic, and pollution control practices. The control measures shall contain or filter flows in order to prevent the bypass of flows without treatment and shall be appropriate for stormwater runoff from disturbed areas and for the expected flow rate, duration, and flow conditions (i.e., sheet or concentrated flow). The Contractor shall coordinate the construction of temporary control measures with the construction of permanent control measures to assure economical, effective, and continuous erosion and sediment control throughout the construction period. When a provision of Section 208 or an order by the Engineer requires that an action be immediate or taken immediately, it shall be understood that the Contractor shall at once begin affecting completion of the action and pursue it to completion in a manner acceptable to the Engineer. This work consists of application of fertilizer, soil amendments, seedbed preparation, and placing seed and sod. Substitutions from this specification will not be allowed unless submitted in writing to the Engineer and approved by the Region or Headquarters Landscape Architect. This work consists of furnishing and applying pavement marking, and furnishing, installing, and removing temporary pavement marking per these specifications, the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices for Streets and Highways (MUTCD), the Colorado supplement thereto, and in conformity to the lines, dimensions, patterns, locations and details shown on the plans or established.
