Remodeling of a playground / park / athletic field in Jacksonville, Illinois. Completed plans call for the remodel of a one-story above grade playground / park / athletic field.
The existing rubber pavers on the playground located on the north side of Gillett Hall, Illinois School for the Deaf, 125 S. Webster Ave., Jacksonville, IL 62650, need to be torn out and replaced. The existing rubber pavers are crumbling and popping up causing a hazard to students and staff. The vendor must remove and dispose of existing playground rubber pavers and mulch. The vendor must level the area to prepare for new rubber paver installation. The playground area is approximately 5600 Sq. Ft., actual size to be determined at Pre-Bid meeting. The vendor must provide and install new playground rubber pavers with color to be black. The pavers should be 2'X2' with a minimum thickness of 2" or approximate to adhere to state and local playground code. The vendor must protect existing sidewalks, grass, etc., from any damage during removal and installation. The vendor must supply all necessary manpower, tools, hardware, etc. for completion of the job. Daily and on completion of the job the vendor must dispose of construction debris to maintain the area. Q/A:- All questions, other than questions raised a Pre-Submission Conference, pertaining to this solicitation must be submitted in writing to the Information Contact no later than 5pm on Tuesday, November 20.
