Sealed proposals are requested for the Brighton Avenue School Multipurpose Room Floor Replacement. Bidders must submit proposals by certified mail or recognized delivery service that provides proof of delivery. Bids will not be accepted by fax or email. All bids must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, treasurer's check, or bid bond with corporate surety acceptable to the owner, amounting to not less than 10% of the base bid, not exceeding $20,000. Bidders must be prequalified, comply with prevailing wage rates, use of domestic materials, and provide a list of corporate/partnership names and addresses for those with a 10% or greater interest. Contractors must be registered under the Public Works Contractor Registration Act, and businesses must be registered with the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Revenue. Each bid must also be accompanied by a certificate from a surety company stating that a bond will be provided if required. No bids may be withdrawn for 60 days after opening. The owner reserves the right to waive minor irregularities and to reject bids as per applicable statutes. Compliance with all relevant anti-discrimination and business registration laws is required.
