Advertisement For Bids Laser Optical Subsystem Refresh (R.1) The U.S. Space & Rocket Center Commission seeks proposals from qualified firms to furnish a sealed itemized public bid including all materials and labor for the decommissioning/removal, refurbishment, and recommissioning/installation of the Five (5) Christie D4K40 Projectors currently installed at the Planetarium Dome at the U. S. Space and Rocket Center Scope of Work: The following SOW procedures will be required. 1) Procedures: Vendor must precisely follow manufacturers exact decommissioning, refurbishment and reinstallation procedures. 2) Site Survey & Planning: Assess mounting points, power, data, conditions, and environmental factors. 3) Decommissioning & Removal: Safety power down, disconnect, unmount and remove existing projectors. 4) Projector Refresh: Removal and replacement of all needed high-quality components to restore the existing D4K40 Christie projectors to an optimal operation condition, providing like new brightness and clarity. 5) Reporting: Provide a detailed report of the diagnostics performed, parts replaced, and refurbishment work completed. 6) Reinstallation: Assess mounting points and replace as needed prior to reinstallation of the D4K40 projectors. Run or connect all necessary power, input feeds, control cables, and other related connections as needed. 7) Configuration & Calibration: Adjustment and realignment as necessary to optimize performance and meet or exceed original manufacturers industry standards ensuring that the existing blend masks are properly aligned and the 5 projected images from all projectors are closely aligned such that seems are not visible. 8) Testing & Commissioning: Perform functional testing (power cycles, input switching, etc.) Perform performance testing (brightness, uniformity, color, etc.) User acceptance testing (UAT) 9) Disposal: Vendor responsible for the removal and disposal/recycling of old equipment and parts. 10) Warranty: Provide all warranty documentation for removal, refurbishment, and reinstallation of the D4K40 projectors
