The work is for the 2026-2029 Tree Pruning Program for the City of Effingham, Illinois. It consists of cleaning, thinning, raising, and specialty pruning of trees as listed in the specifications, located on public property (Right-of-Way) within the City of Effingham. This includes hauling and disposing of all wood, wood chips, and debris, cleaning up by raking lawn areas and sweeping sidewalks, streets, and gutters, and restoring premises to original condition unless otherwise specified by the Director of Public Works or their designee. Each proposal must include the name of every interested party and be accompanied by a bid bond, bank cashier’s check, bank draft, or certified check for not less than five percent of the bid amount. A surety bond for the full award amount is required. Proposals must be submitted to the City Clerk’s Office on a form furnished by the Municipality and enclosed in a sealed envelope labeled '2026-2029 Tree Pruning Program.' The contractor must not pay less than the prevailing wage to all laborers, workmen, and mechanics performing work under this contract, and must comply with the Illinois Wages of Employees on Public Works Act (820ILCS 130/1-12). Work is also subject to the Illinois Substance Abuse Prevention on Public Works Project Act as enacted by P.A. 95-0635. The City of Effingham reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive or not waive any informality in the bids, and accept any bid it deems most favorable to the City.
