Renovation of a municipal facility in Port Angeles, Washington. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 872-square-foot, one-story above grade municipal facility.

Provide all labor and material necessary to install a 24,000 btu two zone ductless heat pump system including: one outdoor unit, two ceiling mounted indoor units (located in main shared office at 575 sf and in back office at 297 sf), refrigerant line sets, wired remote controllers, washable filters, mounting pad with risers for outdoor unit, and surge protector provided to install at outdoor unit. Location: City of Port Angeles Vern Burton, Parks & Recreation Office Building at 308 East 4th Street Port Angeles, WA 98362. A bid bond will not be required for this work Performance Bond and Retainage. (1) Bids less than or equal to $35,000 including tax. A performance and payment bond, and retainage will not be required for this work if the total bid amount including tax is less than or equal to $35,000. However, the City shall have the right of recovery against the Contractor for any payments made on the Contractor's behalf. (2) Bids greater than $35,000 including tax. If the total bid amount including tax exceeds $35,000, this project will be awarded as a small works roster contract and payment and performance bonds and retainage will apply in accordance with Washington State law. A retainage of 5% will then be applicable to this contract. The Contractor shall obtain payment and performance bonds in accordance with this Contract and all Attachments incorporated herein. Copies of the Bid Security Transmittal Form, Performance and Payment Bond form, and Escrow Agreement for Retained Percentage form are available from the Operations Office of Public Works & Utilities (Telephone 360-417-4541). The Contractor is required to obtain all permits required by City of Port Angeles municipal codes and the current adopted codes: 1. International Building Code (IBC) 2. International Residential Code (IRC) 3. Uniform Plumbing Code (UPC) 4. International Fuel And Gas Code (IFGC) 5. International Mechanical Code (IMC) 6. Washington State Energy Code (WSEC) 7. Washington State Ventilation And Indoor Air Quality Code (VIAQ) 8. ANSI 117 (Ada Accessibility Code) 9. International Fire Code (IFC) 10. National Electrical Code (NEC) 11. Underwriters Laboratories (UL) 12. City of Port Angeles Urban Service Standards & Guidelines (current edition) 13. WSDOT/APWA Standard Specifications (current edition)Ductless HVAC Multi-Zone Heating and Cooling System 1. License HVAC Technician. 2. Provide all labor, equipment, and materials to install a new Ductless HVAC Multi-Zone Heating and Cooling System. Cost should include supplying and bringing all materials, fittings, tools, and equipment to complete the installation at the work site and should include all costs associated with the proper cleanup, removal, and disposal of any materials from the work site that are related to the installation. Provide start-up and commissioning as part of this contract. 3. Mount exterior unit to the brick wall behind the south office door to the Parks Offices Four (4) feet above finish concrete. Provide sealant around the exterior penetration per City Of Port Angeles Building Code. See photo below. Remove all the existing flex duct and registers in the ceiling grid in both offices return to City Of Port Angeles. When the flex duct has been removed a sheet metal patch must be installed back at the existing main trunk duct. 5. Provide an interior cassette unit to be installed in the existing ceiling grid system for each zone (2) two. 6. The system should match the power available in the nearest electrical panel 120/240 Volts. The power to the exterior equipment will be installed by the City of Port Angeles's Electrical Department. 7. All work to procure, install, and support necessary low voltage and refrigerant lines will be included in this contract and the lump sum price. 8. Obtain any City Of Port Angeles permits required for this work. 9. Provide a one-year Warranty on all new equipment. 10. Provide staff training with all the new equipment including controls.
