New construction of an industrial development in Port Angeles, Washington. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a 20,000-square-foot, one-story above grade industrial development.

The Port is seeking qualified firms for architectural and engineering services related to the design and preparation of bid documents and permit applications for a 20,000 square foot structural steel industrial building at the Port Angeles Boat Yard. The building is to be used for boat retrofit, repair, maintenance, and construction, and will be comprised of four 5,000 square foot bays, one of which will include facilities for spray painting and vessel blasting. The full range of professional services includes architecture, structural, electrical, mechanical, civil, project permitting, and construction administration. The consultant is expected to: - Develop a questionnaire and lead individual meetings with potential building users, incorporating user input into the design. - Produce architectural renderings and floor plans for approval prior to detailed design. - Prepare plans, specifications, manuals, bid drawings, and cost estimates in accordance with the Port's preferred layout and City standards, coordinating with tenants as needed. - Provide assistance in obtaining all required permits and approvals, which may include approvals from the Olympic Region Clean Air Agency, SEPA checklist, City Shoreline Permit, City Building Permit, and WA Ecology Construction Stormwater Permit. - Provide pre-bid assistance, meet with prospective bidders, issue bid addendums, and assist the Port in bid review and contractor selection. - Support construction through review of submittals and shop drawings, responses to information requests, and review of payment estimates and change order proposals. Minority Business Enterprises, Small Business Enterprises, and Women Business Enterprises are encouraged to submit proposals. Prior to contract execution, the selected consultant’s eligibility will be verified through appropriate regulatory agencies. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
