The work consists of replacing two existing boiler feed water pumps, updating existing pump starters with new VFDs, and performing valve and piping upgrades. All potential bidders must be certified by DOA prior to submitting bids on state construction projects with budgets over $100,000. All bids from contractors who are not certified will be rejected. Contractor certification applications and instructions are available from the DOA website. Sealed bids are accepted via: PDF scanned files submitted through the eBuilder Bidding Portal (preferred); US Mail or third-party delivery to the specified address; or hand delivery to the designated drop box. Bidders are responsible for timely delivery. Third-party delivery is at the bidder’s risk. Bid opening will be conducted via Microsoft Teams, where bidders can call in or join online to hear bid results. Construction bidding documents are available as downloadable electronic files from the Division of Facilities Development website. Additional bidding information and plan holders lists are also available online. Bid submissions are to occur in a unique bid portal link provided in each bid advertisement. Confirm company and contact details upon accessing the portal. Contract offer and construction phase records are processed electronically via eBuilder. A formal pre-bid tour will not be conducted, but a site visit is encouraged; contact is provided for scheduling a site visit if desired to review the project area.
