The Place of the Work is located at the Kingston General Hospital Site Ann Baillie Building, 32 George St., Kingston, Ontario. Bids received by the Owner, submitted by general contract bidders not in attendance will be returned unopened. Each bid submitted shall be accompanied by bid security in the form of a Bid Bond in an amount of not less than 10% of Bid price submitted, naming the Owner as obligee and issued by a surety licensed to conduct surety and insurance business in Ontario. The bid security is for the benefit of the Owner and stands as security that the bidder, if awarded the Contract, will deliver the performance security and evidence of insurance and other documents required by these Instructions to Bidders or by the Contract, and will execute the Contract. The bid security shall remain valid for a period of ninety (90) days from the date of bid submission. No other form of bid security is acceptable. Each bid shall be accompanied by an agreement to bond issued by the same surety company that provides the bid bond, undertaking to provide a fifty percent (50%) Performance Bond and a fifty percent (50%) Labour and Material Payment Bond, both to be delivered to the Owner if the bidder is awarded the Contract.
