Sealed bids are invited for the 2026 Manufacturing & Stockpiling of Chip Seal Aggregate, with an estimated range of $80,000 to $115,000. The major bid items include approximately 2,500 tons of chip rock aggregate for bituminous surface treatment and the stockpiling of materials at identified locations throughout Mason County, in accordance with the 2026 WSDOT Standard Specifications 9-03.4, (1/2-No.4), and the special provisions for the project. Bid proposals must be accompanied by a deposit in the form of a Surety Bond, Cash, Cashiers Check, or Certified Check in an amount equal to 5% of the bid. Proposals must be submitted in writing on forms provided, placed and sealed in a 12 x 9 envelope with the project name and bid opening date indicated, and filed with the Clerk of the Board of County Commissioners before the deadline. Mason County will ensure disadvantaged business enterprises have full and fair opportunity to submit bids and will not discriminate based on race, color, or national origin. The Board of Commissioners reserves the right to accept or reject bids on each item separately or as a whole, to reject any or all bids, and to contract in the best interests of Mason County.
