Renovation of a multi-residential development in Cedar Falls, Iowa. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade multi-residential development.
The General Contractor’s Scope of Work includes replacement of exterior building siding, windows, and patio doors at ten apartment buildings. Also included is the replacement of the central corridor exterior doors with glass sidelights. New steel doors with hollow metal frame glass sidelights are to include access control door hardware. Bids shall be submitted electronically with an uploaded copy of bid security. Bid security will serve as liquidated damages should the bidder fail to deliver a signed contract or provide the required 100% Contract Performance and Payment Bond within ten days of the Notice of Award. No bid may be withdrawn for forty-five calendar days after opening. There is a participation goal of 10% specified for certified Targeted Small Businesses. The Iowa Board of Regents reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive irregularities and accept the bid deemed in the best interest of the Owner. Question Deadline Dec 11, 2025 Each bidder shall examine the contract documents carefully and, not later than seven (7) calendar days prior to the date set for receipt of bids, shall make written request to the DESIGN PROFESSIONAL for interpretation or correction of any ambiguity, inconsistency or error therein which may be discovered.
