Bids are invited for the construction of off-street diagonal parking along the front of "The Bungalows" development on Scenic Drive, on the north side of Scenic Drive, west of Market Street in the City of Pass Christian. The scope of work includes furnishing all materials, labor, tools, and services to provide selective demolition of existing features, including but not limited to existing sidewalks, curb and gutter, landscaping, and irrigation piping (including capping existing services). The work also covers the construction of concrete parking and sidewalks with handicapped accessibility, new integral curb and gutter, installation of concrete parking stops, and pavement markings. All bidders must make positive efforts to use small and minority-owned businesses and women business enterprises. A certified check, bank draft, or bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid must be submitted with each bid. Bidders must have a current commercial contractor's license in the correct classification, and the City reserves the right to consider relevant factors in addition to price when determining the lowest and best bid, as well as the right to reject any or all bids or waive any informalities in the bidding.
