Site work and renovation of a sidewalk / parking lot in Sylvania, Ohio. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade sidewalk / parking lot.
The project involves the removal of four existing rectangular rapid flashing beacon installations and their replacement with new pedestrian hybrid beacon signal crossings. The scope includes the installation of new sidewalk, traffic control signs, and pavement marking. All labor, materials, and equipment necessary for this work must be furnished. Instructions to bidders include submitting sealed bids online through Bid Express, registering with Bid Express and obtaining a free Info Tech Digital ID, and being pre-qualified with the Ohio Department of Transportation for the type of work required. Each proposal must include a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in accordance with Section 153.571 of the Ohio Revised Code, and list the City of Sylvania and State of Ohio, Department of Transportation as bond obligees. Bidders must comply with prevailing wage rates as determined by the Ohio Department of Commerce. The City of Sylvania reserves the right to waive irregularities and reject any or all bids for any reason.
