Renovation and addition to an educational facility in Fremont, Michigan. Completed plans call for the addition of a one-story above grade educational facility; and 15,800-square-foot, one-story above grade educational facility.
The project consists of providing general contracting services for Newaygo County RESA’s ESC Addition & Renovation, which includes a new approximately 15,800 square foot addition and remodel. Bidders are to submit proposals for the work as outlined, which includes providing detailed proposals, staff hourly rate schedules, and affidavits as specified. The submission must follow the prescribed format: cover letter, project approach narrative, relevant general contracting experience, organizational chart and team resumes, proposal forms, project schedule, clarifications and exceptions, additional information, and bid bond information. Bidders must also meet minimum qualifications, such as having operated for at least ten consecutive years, be licensed in Michigan, have experience with education sector projects, and have completed renovation projects of at least $8 million for at least five education sector clients in the past ten years. Instructions to bidders emphasize compliance with submission requirements, schedule, forms, responsiveness, bonds, and that any exceptions must be clearly stated and alternative language proposed.
