Renovation of a fire / police facility in Bay Shore, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade fire / police facility.

The work consists of the removal of the existing chiller, rooftop condenser fan, and all appurtenances. Installation of a new exterior 80 ton air cooled chiller, associated concrete pad, expansion tank, chilled water piping, valves, fittings, power wiring, control wiring, and conduits. Eligible bidders must register on the Suffolk County Department of Public Works Purchasing Unit website. Bidders are responsible for downloading and printing all appropriate Contract Documents and for checking the site frequently for addenda. Bidders must submit, with their bids, a separate sealed list naming each subcontractor to be used for plumbing and gas fitting, steam heating, hot water heating, ventilating and air conditioning apparatus (including fire sprinkler), and electric wiring and standard illuminating fixtures, along with the agreed-upon amount to be paid to each. The apparent low bidder's subcontract information will be opened and read aloud at the bid opening. Bids must be delivered in person, by the Bidder or an agent, at the time and place stated. All contractors and subcontractors submitting bids or performing construction work must be registered with the New York State Department of Labor (NYSDOL) under Labor Law Section 220-i, with a Certificate of Registration included with the bid. No substitutions or applications for registration will be accepted as a substitute. All construction projects over $250,000 are subject to OSHA 10 safety training requirements and Apprenticeship Training Program requirements. Awards will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. The Commissioner of Public Works reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
