Renovation of an educational facility in Ottawa, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade educational facility.
Bids are requested for the Kitchen Renovation Project for Rutland CCSD No. 230. The work consists of renovations to the district Kitchen and ancillary spaces, with additional work as indicated. The contract will be awarded as a single prime lump sum contract. Scope of Work - Renovation to the existing kitchen and ancillary spaces. a. The work consist of complete renovation of the existing kitchen, dishwashing and storage room. b. Replacement of under floor sanitary sewer system and installation of new grease trap system. c. Replacement of hollow metal interior doors / frames and hollow metal exterior doors / frames and hardware as indicated. d. New flooring, ceiling, lighting, casework, painting as indicated. e. New food service equipment as indicated and reinstallation of existing equipment as indicated. f. Additional work as indicated in documents. Location- 3231 North IL Route 71 Ottawa, LaSalle County, Illinois 61350 Bids must be accompanied by bid security of not less than five percent (5%) of the Base Bid amount, in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, or Bid Bond. The successful bidder must provide a satisfactory performance bond and labor & material payment bond covering full contract performance, with all bond costs included in the bid proposal. The successful bidder must ensure nondiscrimination in employment, provide documentation of participation in approved apprenticeship and training programs, and comply with all related provisions of Illinois law including wage, employment, and public works acts. Compliance with prevailing wage rates is required. A criminal background investigation is required for all employees involved in the project. No employee with an incomplete sexual misconduct investigation or findings of sexual misconduct may work on the project. The owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive irregularities, and award the contract in the owner's best interests. Additional requirements are included in the Instructions to Bidders and the Bid Documents. General Contractor Commencement of Construction: May 26, 2026. Substantial Completion August 3, 2026
