Notice is hereby given that Northampton Township will accept sealed proposals online for the Pedestrian Crossing Improvement Project in Northampton Township, Bucks County, PA. Bids will be accepted via PennBid only. All proposals (bids) are to be accompanied by a bid bond or certified check in the amount of 10% of the total bid. The successful Bidder must comply with Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act. All Bidders are required to establish proof of competency and responsibility, in accordance with 67 PA Code Chapter 457, Regulations Governing Pre-qualification of Prospective Bidders and PennDOT Form 408/2020, as supplemented and amended, Section 102. Subcontractors must pre-qualify in the same manner, if listed in the proposal or if they subsequently undertake the partial or total construction of one or more items of work. All Bidders and Sub-contractors must be PennDOT pre-qualified. No bid may be withdrawn within sixty (60) days after the opening thereof, during which time the Township may review the bids and investigate bidder qualifications. The Work shall be executed in the most workmanlike manner by qualified, careful and experienced workmen. The Contractor, and sub-contractors, shall be prequalified with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT). The Contractor shall furnish and install the curb ramps, sidewalk, traffic signal supports, RRFB LED indicators, traffic signs and controller assembly as necessary as indication on the drawings. It is the intent of these specifications to describe a complete flashing warning device system. Accessories, hardware, brackets, clamps, wire and other materials and devices not specifically mentioned, but otherwise required, shall be furnished and installed by the Contractor to complete the Work.
