Renovation of a detention facility in Portage, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade detention facility.

PROJECT SCOPE Columbia County (County) hereby requests sealed bids for replacement lighting in Pod #3 at the Columbia County Jail, located at 403 Jackson Street, Portage, WI 53901. QUESTIONS For interpretation or correction of any of the bid material, a request may be made to Jason Willemarck, Facilities Management Director, at (608) 742-9807 or jason.willemarck@columbiacountywi.gov. Any questions should be received no later than Friday, December 12, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. (CST). Questions received after that time will not be considered. Questions and answers will be posted to Euna OpenBids/DemandStar and the County's website by 4:30 p.m. (CST) on Monday, December 15, 2025. Pod #3 Lighting Project: o Present Lighting to be replaced with Direct double ended type B line voltage lamps. o All CFL night lamps and holders to be replaced with Direct lighted bulbs. o Lighting layouts attached per area. (see Appendix A - pages 10-11) Contractor to Supply the Following: o All labor to retrofit all fixtures. o 82 total fixtures 32 fixtures with night lights (old CFL's ) 2 bulb fixture with 1 night light 46 hall/mezz lights, 2 bulb fixtures 4 each, 2 bulb fixture that is a 2x4 night light o Removal of old ballast and transformers for all fixtures (Facilities to dispose of lamps, ballast and transformers) o Any wire, connectors, etc. for installation of new lamps and holds. o Limited use of power tools for all work is needed. (Fine thread secure screws and cage nuts are not capable of taking the power tool torque which then leads to future access.) o All work to be completed per block per week and working in conjunction with other contractors and employees. Other work such as plumbing and painting will be occurring at the same time. Working in conjunction with other contractors and county employees is essential in completing the blocks in a timely fashion. o 2 blocks, C and D. Each block will have 2 weeks, 5 days, Monday-Friday to complete work. Expectation is to have all contractors out and turnover block by 4:00 p.m. on Friday. o All contractor employees must submit a photo ID for background checks prior to project start. o All invoices must have all the specifics for the project listing on the invoice with dates of completion. Facilities to Supply the Following: o All new LED lamps. o All new night light lamps and holders. o All push-in connectors (Ideal, Wago) o Disposal of old lamps, ballasts, transformers, and night light holders.
