Enclosed is a Request for Qualifications from qualified architectural firms interested in working with Peach County in its effort to undertake design and construction management of repurposing the old Peach County auditorium for use as a youth recreation center. This selected architectural firm will be expected to work with Peach County to complete preliminary architectural work associated with Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funded youth recreation center improvements. Funding for project work will be contingent on the award of grant funding. Peach County is in the process of applying for grant funding to assist with repurposing the old Peach County auditorium for use as a youth recreation center. The county is seeking an architectural firm with broad experience to provide design and construction supervision for this project that will utilize funds primarily from the CDBG grant program, if awarded. These grants are funded by the federal government and administered at the state level by the Georgia Department of Community Affairs. Therefore, all activities must be performed in strict adherence to applicable federal and state regulations. All project activities will be coordinated with April Hodges, County Administrator. The initial work documents required of the selected firm will consist of the preparation of comprehensive architectural plans, including cost estimates. These must be prepared in close communication with Peach County. The successful respondent will be notified on or before January 16, 2026. In addition to the requirements set forth in the Request for Qualifications, the selected architectural firm will be required to submit a completed Preliminary Architectural Report no later than 4:00 p.m. on February 6, 2026. The selected architectural firm will work with the Middle Georgia Regional Commission to provide all information necessary to meet the anticipated Community Development Block Grant application deadline of April 3, 2026.
