Renovation of a multi-residential development in Bayonne, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade multi-residential development.
The work involves the replacement of stair treads at Kill Van Kull Gardens (12-5) and East Side Gardens (12-6B). Parties interested in submitting a Sealed Bid may retrieve a detailed Bid Package, which states the requirements of the Bid. Bids must be received by the specified closing time and be submitted in a sealed envelope, which must contain the designation of the contract, as well as the name, address, and telephone number of the bidder. An original and two copies should be submitted. Proper consideration must be given to allow for mail delivery before the appointed bid opening time. Each bid shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond from a New Jersey Licensed Surety Company listed in the latest U.S. Treasury Circular No. 570, or by certified check in the amount specified, made out to the Housing Authority of the City of Bayonne. All bids must be accompanied by the required affidavits and a Consent of Surety from a New Jersey Licensed Surety Company listed in the most recent U.S. Treasury Circular No. 570, stating it will issue the necessary performance and maintenance bonds if the bidder enters into contract. Compliance with the Davis-Bacon Wage Requirements and New Jersey business registration provisions is required. The successful bidder will need to obtain a Performance Bond for the full contract amount and a Maintenance Bond for a percentage of the construction cost, both from a qualifying New Jersey Licensed Surety Company. Bidders and their subcontractors must comply with New Jersey Affirmative Action Regulations, the Law Against Discrimination, and all federal Affirmative Action Programs. All bidders must submit a Statement of Ownership. The project uses funds provided by the U.S. Government through the Department of Housing and Urban Development.
