Site work and paving for a bridge / tunnel in Grindstone, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a one-story above grade bridge / tunnel.
The contract involves the design, fabrication, and delivery of all components and hardware required for the erection of a pre-engineered, all bolted, prefabricated steel beam bridge superstructure. The scope includes girders/stringers, diaphragms, bearing devices with anchor bolts, expansion devices, guiderail system on the bridge, and all bolts and hardware necessary for the installation as specified. The supplier must furnish complete sets of stamped shop drawings and design calculations to the municipality within 21 days after the award. Work must be completed in accordance with the contract documents, with delivery required within eight weeks. Bids must be submitted on standard proposal forms as required by the specifications and enclosed in sealed envelopes bearing the name and address of the bidder and the project name. Each bid must be accompanied by a Non-Collusion Affidavit and a bid bond or certified check for no less than ten percent of the base bid amount. All work is to be constructed according to the designated drawings and specifications. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities not involving price, time, or changes in the work. Additional grant compliance requirements are applicable, and bidders must conform to all relevant Federal, State, and Local laws, regulations, and ordinances, as outlined in the bid package.
