Sealed proposals from Contractors will be received for the construction of the Renovation of Fire House #3, located at 595 E. King Avenue for the City of Kingsland, GA. Bidders may examine documents by appointment at the office of Ellis, Ricket & Associates, Architects, and obtain bidding documents from the City of Valdosta website. Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond payable to the Owner in an amount not less than 5% of the Base Bid. The Bid Bond is payable to the Owner only if the chosen bidder fails to execute the contract and furnish bonds as required within ten days after the award notification. No bid may be withdrawn for sixty days after the bid opening. A Performance and Payment Bond for 100% of the contract price is required before Notice to Proceed is issued. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is mandatory for any General Contractor intending to submit a bid. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive technicalities and informalities, to retain discretion in adoption of alternates, and to re-advertise.
