The city of kingsland and the city of st. Marys, georgia, are jointly soliciting proposals from qualified engineering firms to provide professional design services for the design of a roundabout at the intersection of colerain road and winding road. Scope of services The selected firm shall provide the following services: preliminary assessment: conduct site surveys, review previously prepared traffic analyses, and evaluate design options for the roundabout. conceptual design: develop preliminary roundabout design alternatives to meet capacity, safety, and accessibility requirements. Determine potential right-of-way needs. detailed design: prepare final engineering drawings, specifications, and calculations for geometry, signage, lighting, pavement markings, drainage, and utility relocation. environmental and regulatory compliance: address environmental impacts, secure permits, and ensure ada compliance. stakeholder engagement: facilitate public meetings, coordinate with utility providers, and incorporate feedback from got and other agencies. cost estimation and phasing: provide preliminary construction cost estimates and a phasing plan. final deliverables: provide signed and sealed hard copies, electronic pdfs, and cad files (autocade civil3d-compatible) of all final design and engineering documents. permitting: obtain all permits necessary for construction, including got and environmental permits. The project timeline will include milestones for 30% (preliminary), 60% (intermediate), and 90-100% (final) design reviews.
