Site work for a development in Frankfort, Kentucky. Completed plans call for site work for a one-story above grade development.

The work consists of restoration and enhancement using Natural Channel Design techniques for approximately 14,891 linear feet of stream channels. Tasks include reshaping existing channels, establishing new channels with stable dimensions, constructing in-stream structures, preparing soil for seeding, native planting and seeding, installing erosion control fabric and mulch, and harvesting, transporting, installing, and maintaining live stake and vegetative materials. The relevant stream channels have both ephemeral and intermittent flow regimes. The project will re-establish about 1,553 feet of channel, rehabilitate 5,473 feet, enhance 2,400 feet, and provide riparian habitat enhancement along roughly 5,465 feet. Restoration includes structures such as brush toe, rock riffles, brush riffles, brush runs, woody debris drops, headwater channels, vegetation of the stream banks, and improvement to the forested riparian corridor. There is also 143 feet of preservation included. Bidders are instructed that only online bids will be accepted, bids must enter $0.00 in the contract amount field in the e-procurement system, and the actual contract amount must be entered on the 'Official Bid Document' uploaded as an attachment. All provided documents should be combined into one PDF and uploaded. Bidders should ensure all company addresses and contacts are accurate before submission as these will carry forward to the contract if awarded. Site visit and pre-bid information will be announced by addendum. Technical questions should be emailed to the engineer of record; procurement questions should be directed to the buyer of record. Only responses provided by official addendum are binding. ALL TECHNICAL QUESTIONS SHALL BE EMAILED TO THE ARCHITECT/ENGINEER OF RECORD FOR THIS PROJECT. ALL QUESTIONS MUST BE SUBMITTED TO THE APPROPRIATE CONTACT BY 12:00:00 PM, EASTERN TIME, 1/15/2026. This element of work shall consist of the mobilization of the CONTRACTOR'S forces and equipment necessary for performing the work required under the contract. Also included is demobilization of the CONTRACTOR'S forces after the work is completed. The work includes the installation of Artificial Roost Trees as specified on the Plans and in accordance with the conservation measures outlined in the approved Biological Assessment (Section 5.5). Locations shall be field verified by the ENGINEER. This specification covers surveying of baselines and grades, protection of drainage facilities, temporary stockpiling of excavated material, dewatering of excavations and work areas, excavation of the existing soil, rock, and debris to the proposed grades and grading of the land to post-construction contours shown on the Plans. Also, included is removal and reuse of existing channel substrate for in-stream structures and native riffles, the proper removal and disposal of excess material from the construction site, and finishing banks, slopes, channels, and any swales and ditches. The work involves the excavation and grading of the stream channel below bankfull elevation shown on the Plans. Bulk excavation and grading of the floodplain and slopes above bankfull elevation are addressed in the appropriate sections of these specifications. This specification covers furnishing all materials, equipment, and labor for installation of permanent Low Water Crossings as required by the Plans or as directed by the ENGINEER. Any excavation, additional bedding, and maintenance is considered incidental to construction. This specification covers furnishing all materials, equipment, and labor for installation of Temporary Culvert Low Water Crossings required for construction as shown on the Plans or as directed by the ENGINEER. Any excavation, additional bedding, and maintenance is considered incidental to construction. This specification covers furnishing all materials, equipment, and labor for installation of Brush Run with Boulder Sill as required by the Plans or as directed by the ENGINEER. Any excavation, additional bedding, and maintenance is considered incidental to construction. This work consists of preparing areas at which Groundwater Dam structures are to be placed, excavation of channel and floodplain material, compacting soil material, and finish grading. This structure serves to help maintain low flow levels over the constructed riffles and decrease the possibility of groundwater flowing below the head of riffle elevations. This specification covers all items related to native seeding within the Planting Zones specified on the Plans and includes the preparation of soil for seeding, mulching, fertilizing, and the placement of erosion control blanket associated with the stream restoration.
