Site work, paving and renovation of a playground / park / athletic field in Saint Augustine Beach, Florida. Completed plans call for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field; for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; and for paving for a playground / park / athletic field.

St. Johns County is soliciting a proposal from Suppliers to design and install an outdoor physical fitness site. This site will be used primarily for ages 12-18. The Supplier should include in their design bodyweight training, calisthenics training, cardiovascular training, offering functional fitness equipment that maximizes the athlete's efficiency and provides a complete overall workout fitness experience for enthusiasts of all levels. The County would prefer to utilize a cooperative contract; example Sourcewell or Omnia Partners or piggyback another municipality if it is advantageous for The County. Parks and Recreation is looking for options to maximize the current funding level of $100,000.00 (One Hundred Thousand Dollars). The turnkey project includes, but not limited to, provision of all materials, equipment, supplies, installation supplies and tools, labor, all site work excavating, removal of debris and permits (if applicable). Please see below for scope of work. The award will be based on price, design, creativity, and lead time. Pricing must be held for 90 days from date of award and The County is looking for a completion date of April 17, 2026. The start date and competition will be agreed upon by both The Project Manager and the awarded Supplier. A Purchase Order will be awarded to Supplier and will be considered as a Notice to Proceed. SCOPE OF WORK St. Johns County Parks and Recreation is seeking to develop a dynamic, outdoor Physical Fitness Work-out area. The site will serve as a physical fitness amenity promoting strength, agility, and endurance while ensuring safety, accessibility, and durability in a public setting. The Supplier can use either one or multiple pieces in their design. The awarded supplier will provide a unique physical fitness experience for ages 12 and up that promotes physical health, community engagement, and athletic development. Specifications & Conditions o The Supplier must provide the County a cost proposal along with a Full Color 2D and 3D renderings of the course and its integration into the selected site. o Exhibit A -Arial view Design & Layout o Thirty-nine feet (39') x Forty-four feet (44') o Develop site-specific Physical fitness area for ages 12 and up o Design must include strength, cardio and warm-up o Include user flow planning, safety zones, signage placement, and spectator areas Equipment Material Specifications o All equipment must be commercial-grade, tamper-resistant, weather-resistant and made or coated for Coastal location with high humidity o Surface materials to include impact-resistant rubber surfacing or engineered wood fiber mulch compliant with ASTM fall height standards. o Structural components must meet ASTM, CPSC, safety guidelines Site Preparation & Installation o Site grading, leveling, drainage planning, and base preparation o Installation of boarders and surface material o Coordination with County staff on utility locates, access routes, and staging area o Site clean-up and waste removal upon completion Signage & Safety o Install instructional signage o Include rules, intended age range, and safety guidance o Optional: QR code signage linking to demonstration videos or fitness challenges Warranty & Maintenance o Minimum manufacturer warranty on all structural components o Provide maintenance guidelines and inspection schedule o Coastal Application warranty (if applicable) o Optional: Include staff training on routine inspection and repairs Supplier shall provide The County a certificate upon delivery that all equipment and/or products provided comply with all of the above referenced requirements and/or regulations. Suppler shall further certify that if any products, materials, equipment, or other items delivered and/or installed are subsequently found to be deficient in any of the above referenced regulations and requirements in effect on the date of deliver, all costs associated with brining the product(s), materials, equipment or other items and/or installation of such into compliance shall be paid by the Supplier. Warranty on Installed Equipment Supplier shall guarantee installed equipment, signage, to be free of defects in workmanship and materials for a period of not less than ten (10) years from date of acceptance by The County of the installation. The supplier with whom the County Contracts for the installation shall be required to repair and/or replace all materials, equipment, accompaniments, which display defects in workmanship and/or materials within one (1) year warranty period, at no additional cost to The County. Responsibility of Equipment Supplier shall be responsible for all damages to equipment, materials products, or other items that occur prior to completion of installation, and shall be required to replace all damaged materials at no additional cost to The County, unless damage is caused by negligence of County Staff. Damages & Preservation of Property The Supplier shall use due care to avoid damaging all property associated with, adjacent to, or in any way affected by the work being performed. This applies to private property, and all utilizes which may exist within the work aera. Any damage occurring to such items by the Supplier shall immediately repair or replace to a condition at least equal to that which existed prior to damage. All costs incurred for repair or replacement shall be borne by the Supplier. Any damages not repaired or replaced by the Supplier within ten (10) calendar days from Notification will be fixed by The County or its contractor and the Cost shall be paid by the Supplier or deducted from final payment. Qualifications of Installers If the Supplier utilizes a sub-contractor installer for any equipment, a list of sub-contracted installers must be included in their quote. Additionally, the Supplier must supply written Factory/Manufacturer Certification that its installer, or its subcontractor installer, is and authorized installer, certified to install the equipment as required by each manufacturer. St. Johns County reserves the right to accept or reject any or all quotes, waive minor formalities or irregularities, and to award the quote that best serves the interests of St. Johns County.
