Site work and new construction of a playground / park / athletic field in Sacramento, California. Completed plans call for the construction of a 2,493-square-foot, one-story above grade playground / park / athletic field.
The lowest responsive and responsible bidder selected will be the prime contractor for the construction of the SLPS project and is required to have a Class B General Building Contractor's License. The contractor will contract with all necessary subcontractors to complete the work shown on the construction documents. Subcontractors may include, but are not limited to, grading, paving, concrete, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, fire alarm, fire sprinkler, landscape, etc. It is the contractors responsibility to ensure the entire scope of work is covered between the prime contractor and all subcontractors. All work performed by the prime contractor or subcontractors are required to have the ap Project No. C20230090-10 The City of Sacramento is soliciting qualifications from general contractors for the construction of the Sutter's Landing Park Site (SLPS) Restroom and Concession Building at 20 28th Street. The project involves approximately 1.5-acre site improvement and the construction of a new, roughly 2,500 square foot ground-up masonry building. The scope includes but is not limited to: construction of a masonry building with HVAC equipment, electrical upgrades, methane alarm system, lighting, signage, and site work such as parking lot improvements, landscaping, and other necessary upgrades to create a functional site. Contractors will be responsible for procuring and installing site and building materials marked as "by others." The selection will be made through a two-step process: first, pre-qualification based on contractor experience and answers to supplemental questions, then an invitation to bid extended to up to five pre-qualified contractors through a traditional low-bid process. The project is subject to the City's Local Hire and Community Workforce Training Program and requirements of the Community Workforce Training Agreement (CWTA) which must be acknowledged and included in cost considerations. Pre-qualification requirements: Contractors must submit Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) demonstrating experience, past performance, and project approach. Up to five contractors will be pre-qualified based on evaluation by a selection committee and may proceed to the bidding stage if chosen.
