The Engineer's estimate is as follows: $890,000.00 The project includes installation of approximately 5,100 feet of 8" and 6" PVC waterline, valves, hydrants, and service connections within the Jacksontown area. Bidders must submit a Bid Bond in the amount of 100 percent of the Bid Price or a certified check, cashier's check, or letter of credit equal to ten percent of the bid amount. Each bid must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the bid and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of experience on projects of similar size and complexity and a complete listing of all subcontractors to be used. Bids must include two paper copies and one thumb drive. All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project should use Ohio products, materials, services, and labor to the extent practicable. Contractor compliance with equal employment opportunity requirements is mandatory, as well as adherence to prevailing wage rates as determined by the State of Ohio Wage Determinations. Offers must be submitted under the condition of irrevocability for 60 days after submission. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality in bids received, and to accept any bid deemed to be the lowest and best.
