Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Hayward, Wisconsin. Completed plans call civil work for a road / highway, sidewalk / parking lot and water / sewer project.
The project consists of the full urban reconstruction and replacement of sanitary sewer and water utilities along portions of Davis Avenue, Beal Avenue, Railroad Street, and USH 63. Select utility segments will be installed using directional drilling. Pulverize and relay operations are planned for Railroad Street, Main Street, Kansas Avenue, and Farmer Street. Concrete curb, gutter, and sidewalks will be replaced throughout the project area. Bidders agree to abide by Executive Order 11246, as amended, and the provisions for civil rights, equal employment opportunity, and affirmative action set forth in the Bidding Documents. This procurement is subject to regulations for solicitation of disadvantaged business enterprises (DBEs). DBEs, including MBEs and WBEs, are encouraged to submit bids. Minimum salaries and fringes to be paid on the project shall be in accordance with the prevailing wage rate scales established by the Federal Department of Labor. The Contractor must ensure that employees and applications for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex, national origin, or other protected class. Federal Labor standards program laws, including the Davis Bacon Act, the Copeland Anti-Kickback Act, and the Contract Work Hours and Safety Standards Act, apply to all work. Bidders shall submit a Statement of Bidder's Qualifications with their bid.
