The project includes the installation of approximately 2000 linear feet of festoon lighting from 3rd Street and Norfolk Avenue to 3rd Street and Braasch Avenue to 2nd Street and Braasch Avenue to connect with the Geary Pedestrian Bridge. This includes the construction of footings and installation of approximately 14 roadway poles for the festoon lighting along these roadways. Additionally, at the intersections of 5th, 4th, 3rd, and 2nd and Norfolk Avenue, catenary lighting will be utilized at each intersection, with approximately 36 light fixtures. The scope of work also includes providing power to all lighting fixture runs. A complete set of plans, specifications, contract documents, and proposal form must be obtained from the specified locations. All bidders must be registered on Sam.Gov. Bids must be submitted in a clearly marked envelope and delivered to the designated address. Proposals submitted via fax or email will not be accepted. The City is tax exempt and may make payment by credit card at its option. The City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals or any portion and to waive informality in any bid. Bids will be awarded to the low bidder meeting or exceeding bid specifications and must be honored for a minimum of 30 days after opening. The City also reserves the right to determine responsive and responsible proposals. Bid security must be furnished according to the Instruction to Bidders, with checks or bonds made payable to the Owner as security for contract execution and the furnishing of required bonds and insurance.
