The contract involves replacement of approximately 2,100 ft +/- of existing stormwater piping and associated structures located on Fish and Game Road, improvements to the existing roadway and other various incidental demolition and construction activities related to this work. The work site is located in Washington Township, Franklin County, PA. No bid will be considered unless accompanied by a certified check, bank cashiers check, or bid bond payable to Washington Township in an amount equal to ten (10%) percent of the bid total. A performance bond in the amount of the 100% of the base bid, as well as a payment bond in the amount of 100% of the base bid, shall be required of the successful bidder. Bids must be submitted in compliance with all contract documents. The successful bidder shall comply with all the provisions of the Contract Documents. Attention is called to the fact that not less than the Pennsylvania prevailing wage rates set forth in the contract documents must be paid on this project; that the Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, age, color, religion, sex, national origin, or handicap; and that to the greatest extent feasible, opportunities for training and employment be given to lower income residents of the project area; and that to the greatest extent feasible, businesses located in the project area or owned in substantial part by project area residents shall be utilized. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any informality in the bidding. The person submitting the request will be responsible for its delivery. Written requests will not be accepted within seven (7) calendar days of bid opening. NO ORAL INTERPRETATION will be made to any bidder as to the meaning of the contract documents or any part thereof.
