Site work for a retail development in Orland Park, Illinois. Conceptual plans call for site work for a retail development.
The Village of Orland Park is requesting proposals from interested parties for Design Engineering for stormwater management improvements/expansion at Orland Square Mall. The entire Orland Square Mall property as well as the surrounding outlots are currently served by the detention basin at the southeast corner of the property, east of Regent Drive. The detention basin was originally permitted in 1974 under the now repealed Sewer Permit Ordinance (SPO). As properties around it continue to develop/redevelop, it's anticipated that incremental detention storage and volume control need to be provided to meet current Watershed Management Ordinance (WMO) requirements. The Village seeks a qualified engineering consultant to design stormwater management improvements/expansion meeting WMO requirements for the redevelopment of the former Sears parcel and the future development and/or redevelopment of properties within the mall property and/or ring road tributary to the existing regional detention basin. The work to be performed by the successful proposer shall be completed on or before December 31, 2026.
