The Work is generally described as follows: The Project consists of milling and paving of asphalt roadway and associated restoration on Academy Street starting from the intersection of Welwood Ave and Academy St to the intersection of Church St and Academy St. Contractors must also establish a 6.9% goal for female participation and a 0.6% goal for minority participation Sealed Bids for the construction of the Academy Street Paving Project will be received online. The project consists of milling and paving of asphalt roadway, replacement of asphalt curbing and paved swales, including associated restoration along Academy Street, from the intersection of Welwood Avenue to the intersection of Church Street. Bids will be received for a single prime contract on a unit price basis. Bid security is required in accordance with instructions, and Davis-Bacon Wages apply. Non-discrimination and affirmative action requirements, including Executive Order 11246, a 6.9% goal for female participation, a 0.6% goal for minority participation, and the use of minority and/or women-owned businesses to the greatest extent feasible, are mandatory. Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968 applies. The project is located along Academy Street, from the intersection of Welwood Avenue to the intersection of Church Street.
