The scope of work involves the demolition of existing roofing systems and installation of new asphalt shingle roof systems at six Missile Alert Facilities (MAFs). The contractor will remove existing asphalt shingles, underlayment, ice and water shield, gutters, soffit, fascia, flashings, trims, and fasteners, as well as demolish existing dormers and replace one sheet of 1/2 -inch decking beneath them. The new roofing system will include all necessary materials such as shingles, underlayment, ice and water shield, starter shingles, ridge cap shingles, ridge vent, flashings, trims, adhesives, soffit, fascia, gutters, and downspouts, meeting manufacturer warranty requirements. Additionally, the contractor must inspect the roof decking after removal of existing shingles and replace any substandard decking as specified, with quantities agreed upon by the government prior to replacement. Mobilization costs, including insurance, permits, safety measures, fees, licenses, shop drawings, samples, utility locates, general administration, and overhead, are to be included in the contract price. The estimated project magnitude is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
