Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Adel, Iowa. Completed plans call civil work for a road / highway, sidewalk / parking lot and water / sewer project.
The Rapids Street Reconstruction project includes the reconstruction of Rapids Street from 15th Street to 9th Street and includes a 26-foot wide 8-inch depth PCC urban roadway section. The project will include 6-inch modified subbase, longitudinal subdrain, storm sewer, sanitary sewer, and water main replacement, 6-inch PCC driveways, 5-foot-wide sidewalks, and ADA curb ramps. Bid Alternate 1 includes additional storm sewer replacement along 9th Street which will include driveway and sidewalk replacement. Hard copies of the contract documents are available from McClure Engineering Company with the initial set free to prospective bidders. A $20.00 fee applies to additional sets and documents requested by other than prospective bidders, refundable if the plans and specifications are returned complete and in good usable condition within fourteen days after the award of the project. Individuals must call in advance to reserve a paper copy. Electronic versions of the contract documents, bidding documents, and plans are available at no cost online, with downloads requiring user registration for a free membership.
