The work consists of providing temporary traffic control system and installing temporary traffic detection system; supplying labor, materials, and equipment as required for removal of channelizing island, reconstruction of raised median and raised median extension; removal of existing traffic island and installation of new curb return, sidewalk, gutter, and curb ramps; new PCC curbs, roadside signs, traffic detectors, conduit, conductors, pull boxes, traffic signal poles, traffic detection and monitoring cameras, removal and replacement of traffic stripes, pavement markings, and pavement markers; furnishing and installing traffic signs, utility coordination; installation and removal of landscaping and bioretention area, removal of existing and installation of new inlet and piping; relocation of VTA bus stop, relocation of fire hydrant, relocation of case vent pipe; coordination with Caltrans, City of Palo Alto, VTA, and other stakeholders; and performing other work not specifically mentioned above that is required by the project plans or these Special Provisions. The time limit for the completion of Work is 120 working days commencing on the first charged day, which will be approximately 30-45 days following the Notice of Award by the County of Santa Clara.
