Demolition, site work and new construction of a civil project in Sedalia, Missouri. Conceptual plans call for the demolition of a one-story above grade water / sewer project; and one-story above grade water / sewer project.

The scope of work includes professional engineering services for improvements at the Central and North Waste Water Treatment Facilities (WWTF) in Sedalia, Missouri. This covers: 1) construction of a new North Screening & Pump Station, Valve Vault, and Electrical Building; 2) installation of a new 16-inch force main from the proposed North Screening & Pump Station to the existing Central WWTF; and 3) various improvements at the Central WWTF, including work on the Aeration Basin, Blower Building, Clarifier Splitter Structure, Secondary Clarifier, Effluent Parshall Flume & Reaeration Structure, RAS/WAS Pump Station, Central Electrical Building, Sludge Pump Station & Alum Feed Building, and the Sludge Dewatering Building. Engineering services required may include planning, design, and/or construction oversight. Facility plans and engineering reports must adhere to 10 CSR 20-8.110 Engineering – Reports, Plans, and Specifications. Funding is through the Missouri Department of Natural Resources’ Financial Assistance Center, and the CMAR (Construction Manager at Risk) delivery method will be used for this project. Qualification submission requirements include specialized experience and technical competence (35 points), capacity and capability (20 points), past record of performance (30 points), and proximity and familiarity with the project location (15 points). Questions must be submitted in writing. An evaluation committee will review the submissions, and the City may conduct interviews with the top firms. Once the most qualified firm is selected, an engineering agreement will be negotiated, which may also cover services such as assistance with financing, easements, user rate analysis, geotechnical analysis, and surveying.
