The work consists of the installation of curb and gutter, driveway repair, ADA sidewalk ramps, erosion control, sidewalk, storm sewer and all incidental and/or related work as necessary to provide a complete project. Sealed bids are required, with a Bidder's Bond for not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid. Drawings and specifications may be inspected at the Public Works Department. All questions must be submitted in writing. The owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to accept the best bid. The project will be awarded to the lowest, responsive and responsible bidder. No bidder may withdraw their bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the date of the bid opening. If the bid is over $75,000, contractors and subcontractors must pay prevailing wage rates, require all on-site employees to complete a ten-hour construction safety training program, comply with employment regulations concerning unauthorized aliens, and participate in the federal work authorization program. All bidders must comply with required conditions of employment, wage rates, and equal opportunity requirements. MBE, WBE, and Section 3-DBE bidders are encouraged to bid.
