Site work, paving and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Charlottesville, Virginia. Completed plans call civil work for a bridge / tunnel.
Sealed bids are invited for the construction of Hickory Street Bridge at Biscuit Run Park. The project is generally described as a 10' wide paved trail approximately 800' in length, with a crossing of Biscuit Run consisting of a 3-span prefabricated bridge (approximately 220’ total span length), along with 53 new paved parking spaces along the Hickory Street shoulder (22 additional spaces included in the bid-add). All updates to the solicitation, when available, will be posted to the County Website. See solicitation documents for details on the optional prebid/proposal conference or site visit and for public opening information for responses. Pre-bid questions are due on Tuesday, December 16, 2025. The estimated construction cost range for this project is $1M-$3M. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. Question Deadline 12/23/2025 Bidders must so act to assure that questions reach the Architect/Engineer at least seven (7) days prior to the time set for the receipt of bids to allow a sufficient time for an addendum to reach them before the submission of their bids.
