Site work and renovation of a transportation facility in Farmington, New Mexico. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a transportation facility; and for site work for a transportation facility.

The Farmington Regional Airport is home to an unrealized asset in the way of a 120-acre industrial park. This property is regrettably land locked and is without proper infrastructure to attract businesses to this prime real estate. At present, the only access is an easement on private property and a cold mill road for materials transport. This renders the site unusable for its intended use. Likewise, in order to attract suitable clients/tenants, it is necessary to have adequate power, water and sewer to serve potential clients' needs. The proposed improvements would include: a paved 3,200 ft. road, water, sewer, and electric to the site which would activate this now dormant 120-acre industrial park for the attraction of aerospace, transportation/logistics, and other industry to the site. The project is included in the City's 2027-2031 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). As of December 18, 2025, project is funded for construction in FY2027. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
