A. Work comprises of site preparation which includes demolition and off-haul of existing dirt/trees and asphalt (some concrete), installation of a new foundation for two new modulars (Modulars are OFOI) landscaping, playgrounds, fencing, underground utilities, flatwork, and a new ADA path connecting the project site to the rest of the campus located at 4200 Farm Hill Blvd., Redwood City, California 94061. Upgrades are proposed to provide a new facility for the child development department for both educational purposes and student/staff childcare. B. Furnish all labor, materials, equipment, services, permits, temporary controls and construction facilities, and all general conditions, seismic requirements, general requirements and incidentals required to complete the Work in its entirety as described in the Contract Documents. The Work includes, but is not necessarily limited to the following: 1. Construction of new foundations with drilled piers for two buildings. 2. Construction of associated sitework to join the new buildings with the existing campus, including a new ADA pathway, drive aisle and playgrounds. 3. Electrical upgrades, including: connection to the campus MPOE via new utility trenching, two new IDFs, site lighting, etc. 4. Coordination with other contractors working at the site and its Subcontractors, coordination with local utility owners and PG&E and the District, obtaining necessary permits and complying with permit and environmental conditions, project startup and testing, site restoration and cleanup. C. The Work of this Contract comprises construction of all the Work indicated, described in the Specifications, or otherwise required by the Contract Documents. D. Unless provided otherwise in the Contract Documents, all risk of loss to Work covered by Contract Documents shall rest with Contractor until Final Acceptance of the Work. E. Contractor's use of the premises for Work and storage is limited to the area indicated. F. Contractor shall be solely responsible for all utilities (including without limitation electricity, water, gas, etc.) at the Site. G. Contractor shall carefully remove, in a manner to prevent damage, all materials and equipment specified or indicated to be salvaged and reused or to remain the property of District. Contractor shall store and protect salvaged items specified or indicated to be reused in the Work. a. Contractor may furnish and install new items instead of those specified or indicated to be salvaged and reused, in which case such removed items will become Contractor's property. H. Existing materials and equipment removed by Contractor shall not be reused in the Work, except where so specified or indicated. I. Salvaged items not to be reused in the Work, but to remain District's property, shall be delivered by Contractor in good condition to District at the Facilities Maintenance Center, 4200 Farm Hill Blvd. Redwood City, CA 94061. a. Any items specified or indicated to be salvaged which are damaged in removal, storage, or handling through carelessness or improper procedures shall be replaced by Contractor in kind or with new items.y 23, 2026 The Work will be Substantially Complete on or before October 31, 2026, Final Completion- November 15, 2026
