Description

Site work and paving for a road / highway in Blooming Grove, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for paving for a road / highway.

2,576 Tons of Superpave 19mm Binder; 1,546 Tons of Superpave 9.5 mm, Wearing Course, placed 180 LB/SY; 750 Tons of 2A Crushed Aggregate Subbase, placed as Shoulder Back-up. All materials must meet PennDOT Publication 408 Specifications and Standards. Bidders must be PennDOT prequalified and must supply proof of prequalification. Proposals must be on forms provided by the Township. All bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent of the bid made payable to Blooming Grove Township. The successful bidder will be required to provide a Performance and Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the contract price within 20 days of the award of the contract. All paving must be completed by October 15, 2026. Liquidated damages will apply for each day beyond this date that the work remains incomplete. Pennsylvania Prevailing Wages apply to this contract. The Township Board of Supervisors reserves the right to accept or reject any and/or all proposals or portions thereof, and to delete projects and/or portions of the project depending on budgetary constraints and also to waive any technicalities deemed to be in the best interest of the Township.
