Black Mountain Neuro-Treatment Center Steam Distribution Replacement The project includes replacement and modifications to existing steam distribution systems at the Black Mountain Neuro Medical Treatment Center. This associated infrastructure includes primary steam piping, steam condensate return piping, condensate pump systems and distribution accessories. Additionally, the project includes phased construction sequencing to minimize impacts to critical facility operations. Bids will be received for a single prime contract, and all proposals shall be lump sum. Bidder instructions: Complete plans, specifications, and contract documents are available for inspection in designated offices and plan rooms. Qualified prime bidders may obtain documents upon deposit, refundable under specified conditions. If bidding both as a single prime and as a separate prime contractor, submit bids on separate forms and in separate envelopes, clearly indicating the contract(s) being bid. Each bid must include the "Identification of Minority Business Participation" form and either Affidavit A or B, as applicable. Failure to complete these forms is grounds for rejection. Bidders must be properly licensed as required by North Carolina law. Each proposal must be accompanied by a bid deposit of not less than five percent (5%), or a bid bond, and successful bidders must provide performance and payment bonds for 100% of the contract price. Payment will be made on ninety-five percent (95%) of monthly estimates, with final payment upon completion and acceptance. No bid may be withdrawn for 30 days after the scheduled closing. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities.
