Description

Renovation of a clubhouse / community center in Black Mountain, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a clubhouse / community center.

The Contractor shall perform all work in accordance with the Areté Engineers Structural Repair and Temporary Shoring Plan dated December 2025. Work includes sistering and reinforcing floor joists, installing headers, stud packs, blocking, repairing penetrations, installing required connectors and hardware, and constructing temporary shoring where approved. Town staff will support plan review and permitting for building and floodplain development requirements. Submit a lump-sum bid including contractor information, NC license number, bid price, construction duration, confirmation of availability within five days of award, and proof of insurance. The selected contractor must have the ability to mobilize and begin work within five calendar days of notice of award. Proof of required insurance, agreement to indemnification, termination for convenience by the Town, and compliance with all applicable North Carolina laws and building codes are required. The Town reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to award to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.
