Description

Renovation of a water / sewer project in Aurora, Colorado. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 48,200-square-foot water / sewer project.

This project involves replacing the existing roof at the Griswold Water Purification Facility; Located at 14201 E Hampden Ave, Aurora, CO. The existing roof and venting have reached the end of their useful life of approximately 30 years. After several repairs over the years, it has been decided to proceed with a full roof replacement including updates to roof penetrations and any equipment attached to avoid any leakage into the filter building which may affect the water quality. The new roof replacement and vents will incorporate a modern vent style, watertight roof penetrations, and properly sloped downspouts to ensure a functional roof enclosure. The total roof area is approximately 48,200 sf. The proposed roof construction must be installed during the facility shutdown December 2025 through April 15, 2026. This renovation initiative is essential to ensure the facility remains a safe, functional, efficient, and welcoming environment for staff, supports modern operational needs, and allows for future flexibility.
