Sealed bids are requested for furnishing and supplying materials for Bridge No. 0753004. The materials required include five W40x167 A588 – 50,000 PSI (or heavier) wide flange beams with shear connectors, each girder to be 90 feet in length. Shop drawings for structural steel must be submitted for review and approval, covering only general design features. The supplier or their fabricator must hold the appropriate American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) certification as per Section 1080.3.1.6 of the 2004 Missouri Standard Specifications for Highway Construction for all structural elements. All welding operations, including materials and personnel, must comply with American Welding Society (AWS) specifications. Certified mill test reports for chemical and physical tests, as well as non-destructive testing reports, are required on all structural steel elements. Additional required materials include two C7x9.8 channels (for mounting guardrail posts and as edge forms), two C7x9.8 channels (for each end of the deck), C12x25 diaphragms and connection plates, stay-in-place forms shop cut to fit between shear connectors with a 6-inch overlap at joints, four C12x25 channels (30 feet each), two 1/2” x 16” plates (30 feet each), two C6x10.5 channels (24 feet 7 inches each), thrie beam guardrail, and four thrie beam flared terminal ends for a 90-foot bridge. All materials must meet Buy America Requirements and documentation. Delivery of materials to the job site must occur no later than 90 days after the Notice of Award. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids.
