Sealed bids are requested for the supply of materials for Bridge No. 0511005. The materials required include five (5) W36x160 A588 – 50,000 PSI (or heavier) wide flange beams with shear connectors, each with a girder length of 80 feet. Shop drawings for the structural steel must be submitted to the engineer for review and approval, which will cover only general design features. The supplier must either be or utilize a fabricator certified under the appropriate American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) provisions. All welding operations and personnel must meet American Welding Society (AWS) specifications. Certified mill test reports and non-destructive testing reports are required for all structural steel elements. Additional materials required include two C7x9.8 channels (for mounting guardrail posts and edge forms), two C7x9.8 channels (for each end of the deck), C12x25 diaphragms and connection plates, shop-cut stay-in-place forms, four C12x25 channels (30 feet in length), two 1/2” x 16” plates (30 feet in length), two C6x10.5 channels (24 feet 7 inches in length), thrie beam guardrail, and four thrie beam flared terminal ends for an 80-foot-long bridge as indicated in the plans. Suppliers are responsible for meeting Buy America Requirements and documentation. All materials must be delivered to the job site no later than 90 days after the Notice of Award. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids.
