The City of Forks is seeking proposals from qualified and experienced landscape architectural firms to provide professional services for the preparation of a comprehensive development and implementation plan for Tillicum Park and other City Park facilities located within the city limits. The selected firm will advise on the design, planning, and budgeting efforts to modernize and enhance the park's infrastructure and amenities in alignment with the City's vision for sustainable, inclusive, and multi-generational public spaces. This includes providing practical, frugal, and durable approaches, developing project summaries with cost estimates for seeking grants, and assisting in prioritizing maintenance and improvements to park facilities. The objective is to retain a professional landscape architecture firm experienced in master planning for rural, small communities and municipal parks. Deliverables shall include a detailed master plan, engineered design documents, and a phased implementation budget. Scope includes: - A comprehensive development and implementation plan for park facilities focused on their maintenance, development, and improvement. - Development of a phased construction strategy and detailed project budget for Tillicum Park upgrades, including playground equipment, pickleball/tennis courts, softball fields, soccer fields, trails, Arena facilities, vendor areas, and utilities. - Community engagement to inform planning and design. - Maintenance program recommendations for facilities. - Sustainable design recommendations for landscaping, lighting, and stormwater. - Prioritization and phased implementation for improvements at each facility. - For other City Park facilities: inventory, assessment, recommendations for repair or replacement, and proposals for short and long-term improvements. The selected firm will provide: - Site inventory and analysis. - Facilitation of at least one stakeholder workshop. - Master plan development with site plans, diagrams, and design standards. - Multi-phase budget and funding identification. - Final presentation to City Council and Fork Park Board.
