Site work and paving for a road / highway in Syracuse, New York. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.

The work provides for the extension of the existing traffic signal interconnect along James St. and a section along S. Salina St., connecting back to the traffic control center located at the City of Syracuse DPW offices. Sets of plans and specifications for the work under this contract can only be obtained from the Director of the Office of Management & Budget, Division of Purchase upon deposit of a check or money order in the amount of $100. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total maximum bid price. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is recommended but optional. No interpretation of the meaning of the plans, specifications, or other contract documents will be made to any bidder orally. Every request for such interpretation should be made in writing and received at least five days prior to the date fixed for the opening of the bids. All addenda so issued shall become part of the contract documents. The time for performance of contract is 300 calendar days from the date of Notice to Proceed or to be completed by June 15th, 2027, whichever comes first, inclusive of a winter shutdown. The contractor is allowed only one winter shutdown during the course of the project and must notify the Owner in writing 14 days prior to the start and end of the shutdown period. Bids cannot be withdrawn within 45 days of letting. The City reserves the right to waive any informalities and to reject any and all bids. Additional required submittals and regulations are specified for bidders and contractors. The project provides for the extension of the existing traffic signal interconnect along James St. & a section along S. Salina St., connecting back to the traffic control center located at the City of Syracuse DPW offices. The Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) participation requirement for this project of 0%. The affirmative action goals include a minority utilization of 3.8% and utilization goal of 6.9% for women.
