Renovation of a mixed-use development in Syracuse, New York. Working plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.
The scope of work includes furnishing all materials, equipment, supervision, and personnel required to replace the SCI steam coils at the Syracuse VA Medical Center. The project involves demolishing existing steam pre-heat coils in seven air handling units located in the 5th floor mechanical room, along with selective steam and condensate piping. A new water/glycol loop with two pumps and a plate-and-frame heat exchanger will be installed to serve new water coils in the air handling units. An additional distribution pump will be added to the boiler hot water system on the 10th floor. All three new pumps will be connected to new power feeds and variable frequency drives. Three existing electrical panelboards will be replaced to support the new equipment. HVAC controls electrical work and programming will be self-performed by the owner, except where noted on the drawings. All work shall conform to the provided drawings and specifications. The project completion timeline is 270 calendar days from Notice to Proceed. Location: Syracuse VA Medical Center, 800 Irving Avenue, Syracuse, NY 13210.
